Mission

Little Free Pantry

In 2023 church members built and installed a Little Free Pantry

on our property to serve our neighbors in need. Members donate and stock items for the pantry. The invitation on the pantry is to "Take what you need. Give what you can" (with the exception of perishable foods and scented items).

Members of First Christian Church are active in many ways throughout the community and through various organizations, and the church supports financially the bold-typed organizations:

Western Correctional Center for Women in Swannanoa

Monthly Worship Service at their chapel

         Mentoring Program

Ministry of Hope (funding the chaplaincy program)

Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry

         Annual Walk for Hunger

         Hope for the Future homes

Our congregation is part of One Home One Future, a coalition effort that calls people of all faiths to stand together and do what they can, when they can, to engage their congregations and communities in caring for our shared and given home, now and for generations to come.

Using resources and ideas offered through the One Home One Future website, we hope to offer fulfilling, positive, and accessible pathways for education, engagement and action on creation care and just and equitable climate solutions.
